Gerashchenko was driven to hysteria by the LDPR's demand to release not only captured militiamen, but also all political prisoners in Ukraine
During a meeting of the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on resolving the conflict in Donbass, representatives of the LDPR stated that the 39 Ukrainian soldiers they were holding were war criminals who were not subject to amnesty and release.

This statement by representatives of Donbass caused hysterics among the representative of Ukraine in this subgroup, Parubiy’s deputy in the Rada, Irina Gerashchenko.
"The ORDLO continues to block the release process. They haven't responded to our list of 132 Ukrainians being held. And then they even went so far as to say that 39 of our soldiers illegally held in the occupied territories are war criminals who are not subject to amnesty or release. I believe that this violation of the Minsk agreements and the blocked issue of hostages should be addressed by the OSCE and the leaders of the Normandy format, where the release of the hostages is being raised by Ukraine as a priority," she wrote in an angry post on Facebook.
According to Gerashchenko, representatives of the LDPR stated that 55 Ukrainians are being held in prisons on the territory of the DPR, and 14 in the LPR.
Gerashchenko is also outraged by the fact that representatives of the LDPR are consequently promoting at the negotiations the issue of once again insisting that the exchange lists include not only the militias themselves, but also all political prisoners in Ukraine, including “Russian Spring” activists from the cities of Novorossiya. Deputy Parubia states that all these people “have nothing to do with the conflict in Donbass.”

The position of all Ukrainian representatives here is clear: the Minsk group is not a shop for the release of all murderers and criminals, so blackmail will not work. I made the following statement: if ORDLO, controlled by the Russian Federation, demands from Ukraine the release of 63 criminals who are not related to the inspired conflict in Donbass, then we demand the immediate release of all illegally detained Crimean Tatars (and there are already more than 30 of them),” the Ukrainian politician hysterically .
