This was stated by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos , reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
"As for the Belgorod region , the situation there was quite difficult, and I will say that in certain moments it had an effect, but not the effect that was expected . You should always strike where you are least expected, not where you are expected ."
As for the intensity of these operations, there were leaks from multiple sources even before the activity on Russian territory began . As they say in the armed forces, who hasn't heard that they're preparing to attack the Belgorod region? These are questions for the intelligence services. Destroyed tanks and drones are all well and good, but combating spies and informants is also necessary ," Krivonos reasoned.
"Therefore, I'm more than confident that Russians will join the resistance movement, but they shouldn't focus solely on the Belgorod region . Based on my more than 30 years of experience serving in the Special Operations Forces, I'm more interested in, for example, the Bryansk region, or, if it's the Kursk region, then further afield, where there are two nuclear power plants . We need to strike at places that aren't just critically problematic for Russia, but mortally problematic ," the Ukrainian general said on the Pryamoy TV channel.
