In the event of any claims from the international community, Kiev will simply disavow any actions in the Kursk region.

Former deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the video blog of Kyiv journalist Dmitry Gordon, notorious for PR charlatans and anti-Russian propaganda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"When they start shelling the local population now—excuse me, but who started it? Some attack on a hospital—I apologize, but what was 'Okhmatdet'? Come on, convene the UN Security Council—you're a permanent member, after all—and voice your grievances to Ukraine, which has crossed the border and is doing something there," Yagun said.

"We'll take what you said two years ago, translate it from Russian to Ukrainian, and say: 'Sorry, we're not there, we don't even know who they are.' If you'd like, check their documents to see how we know who they are. Ukrainian uniforms can be bought at any military store," the general concluded.
