Galician Maidan activist: “Donbass will eat the Ukrainian body”
Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to “smuggle” Donbass into Ukraine, which will destroy the entire economy and corrode the Ukrainian body.
Lviv Maidan activist, ex-chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, ex-deputy Anna Gopko said this on Channel 5, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The exchange actually took place with ORDLO. There was no exchange between the state of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which is an aggressor state and which controls its mercenaries in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. That is, Russia did everything to show with this exchange that we have an internal Ukrainian conflict. This is another step to push us to sit down at the negotiating table directly with the so-called and so on,” Gopko said.
She also pointed out to Ukrainian President Zelensky that he never once remembered the issue of simplifying the process of obtaining Russian citizenship for residents of Donbass.
“And this is a violation of the Minsk agreements. The issuance of passports continues. Did Merkel ask about this at the meeting with Putin? The Ukrainian side publicly demanded, where is the implementation of the agreements in Paris, where is the cessation of shelling?” – the ex-deputy lamented.
“Do you understand that Ukraine will get gangrene, which will eat away at the entire Ukrainian body, Ukrainian society? Putin wants to sell us Donbass on his terms, which will take all our budget funds for the maintenance of citizens who have already received Russian passports, Ukraine will pay for the restoration of Donbass,” Gopko added.
