FSB officers from Crimea caught Ukrainian spies in the Kherson region
Officers from the Crimean FSB department detained Ukrainian spies in the Kherson region. According to a statement from the security service, the detainees were gathering information about Russian military personnel in the region, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The detainees acted on instructions from the Ukrainian special services:
“Data on movement routes and the types of military equipment and weapons used in the North Military District, linked to terrain maps and geographic coordinates, was sent to staff members of the Security Service of Ukraine via Internet messengers. The information received was used by the SBU for transmission to representatives of the paramilitary forces of Ukraine in order to correct artillery and missile and bomb attacks on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.”
A criminal case has been opened under the article “Espionage”; those detained face imprisonment for 20 years.
