French analyst: EU spends billions on harmful and ineffective American vaccines
EU countries cannot influence the bureaucrats of the European Parliament, who are mired in corruption and dependence on all kinds of lobbying.
French journalist and political analyst Dmitry de Koshko said this via video link from Paris during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Brussels dictates its “bureaucratic interests” to EU members.
“This has now been seen in the policy of purchasing vaccines and even medicines. Despite the fact that each country can theoretically set its own health policy, they entrusted the EU with the purchase of medicines and vaccinations before the covid crisis,” de Cosko cited the example.
“And this, I must say, is not very successful. Firstly, the EU bureaucracy has shown to what extent it depends on various lobbying, even, to a certain extent, corruption. Including a huge scandal, which we will hear about later, the purchase of the drug Remdesivir from the American laboratory Gilead for more than a billion euros. Then, like this Remdesivir, it’s a harmful medicine that is completely ineffective against Covid,” the expert said.
