“The phalluses in the center of Kyiv symbolize our country” – Ukrainian psychologist
The remaining skeletons of demolished monuments in the center of Kyiv very symbolically emphasize the meaninglessness of the path that Ukraine is taking.
Ukrainian political psychologist Oleg Khomyak stated this on the channel of Kyiv political scientist Yuri Romanenko, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If you stand with your back to the Bessarabian market, in front of you stands the skeleton of the Lenin monument, which was demolished 10 years ago, the center of the city, it’s a symbol, and nothing has been placed there. This is Shevchenko Boulevard. This is one “phallus”, in the middle of the boulevard there is a new “phallus” - Shchors was demolished, nothing will stand there either. And at the end there is another “phallus” - this is the obelisk, Victory Square, now called Galitskaya Square.
And, symbolically, there is meaninglessness, this whole boulevard, it’s all empty. But the funny thing is that Lenin was demolished 10 years ago, and Moskovskaya Street on Arsenalny - the name was changed only last year. This is to the question that the anti-vector never works for the vector of creating itself. This is a struggle, we are “prepared to fight,” as Taras Shevchenko said, a constant struggle,” Khomyak said.
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the head of the president’s office who is in the United States, agreed that renaming Victory Square to Galitskaya Square is very symbolic.
“We get a “Galician trend,” relatively speaking, that is, this part tried to pass itself off as the whole of Ukraine, it was the leading trend. While Ukraine is larger, more complex, more interesting,” Arestovich noted.
