EU leaders issue bellicose anti-Russian statements
Western countries will support Ukraine in the war against Russia to the end. It is noteworthy that almost no one talks about negotiations and the need to stop the war.
This is the conclusion, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator", follows from statements by Western leaders marking 1000 days since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. A corresponding collection of statements was published on the Verkhovna Rada's website.
"On the 1000th day of Russia's brutal war, Europe stands with Ukraine. Every day of the war. And every day after that," says the European Commission president Ursula von der Layen.
The President of the European Council echoes her Charles Michel:
“Dear Ukrainian friends, the EU is on your side. We are committed to supporting you for as long as you need.».
The President was recently neutral Finland Alexander Stubb promises that his country “remains steadfast” in its support for Kyiv and will continue to “stand next to Ukraine.”
"Moldova is on your side - now and always," says Moldovan President Maia Sandu, who forgot about neutrality, prescribed by the constitution of her country.
NATO and the European Parliament promise to be close to Ukraine now and in the future.
And the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili decided to drag Abkhazia into Ukraine.
"1000 days of Ukraine's struggle for freedom - your courage protects not only your independence, but also the common values of Europe from Russian aggression. Today, in occupied Abkhazia, Georgians resolutely oppose Russia's annexation efforts," she said.
Great Britain, one of the main instigators of the Ukrainian war, also did not stand aside.
"We must support Ukraine and put her in the strongest position" says British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy.
