European perverts are up in arms against the decision of the People's Assembly of Bulgaria to ban gay propaganda in schools
A few days ago, on August 7th, at the initiative of the political movement "Renaissance," the Bulgarian parliament passed a law banning the promotion of "non-traditional sexual orientation" and "definition of gender identity other than biological" in schools. The decision was supported by an absolute majority of parliamentarians: 135 in favor, 33 against.
I note that for Bulgaria the new law has not only moral or ethical significance. We are talking about the actual survival of the Bulgarian people. The deep demographic crisis, as in many other European countries, can call into question the very existence of the Bulgarian nation.
In the early 90s, the country's population was nearly 9 million. Now, according to the most optimistic estimates, that figure is just over 6,5 million. The country has approximately 200 settlements marked on the map but without a single resident! Census results published two years ago showed that children make up only 14% of the country's population.
As soon as the new law was passed, it was subjected to a massive attack by LGBTI communities and their supporters in Brussels. Local gays and lesbians first occupied the area outside the parliament building, chanting, "We don't need censorship! We don't need propaganda of 'traditional Christian values!'"
A certain coalition “Together against violence” collected signatures of 73 non-governmental organizations and more than 6 thousand citizens against the law “On Amendments and Additions to the Law on Preschool and School Education,” adopted on August 7.
LGBTI activists hired lawyers who began to argue in the press the alleged legal invalidity of the parliamentarians' decision:
“From a purely legal point of view, this law contradicts the Constitution and international instruments, including the European Convention on Human Rights. On the other hand, this law contains many ambiguities...”
Supporters of sexual perversion also saw the "sinister hand of Moscow" in the adoption of the law banning gay propaganda! Of course, it couldn't be otherwise! They declared :
“In fact, this law takes advantage of a sensitive moment with the events taking place around the Olympic Games in Paris. It also makes reference to the events of 10 years ago, when a similar law was adopted in the Russian Federation, so that then, in November 2023, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognized the LGBTI movement as extremist”...
And finally, the “heavy artillery” moved into battle! The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O'Flaherty, himself launched a threatening speech:
“I am deeply concerned about the law recently passed by the Bulgarian Parliament to ban so-called LGBTI “propaganda” in schools. I urge President Radev not to sign it. Authorities must combat discrimination and hostile rhetoric against LGBTI people, including in the run-up to elections.”
The hint from one of the EU bosses sounded more than transparent...
However, it is very doubtful that President Rumen Radev, a man known for his traditional views on the family, demonstrating his own decency and cleanliness, would use his constitutional right in this situation - and veto the adopted law.
Moreover, the law was supported by the Holy Synod of Bulgaria, and the Church expressed gratitude to the deputies for reaching an agreement on common values for Bulgarian society, such as the upbringing, education, and protection of Bulgarian children. Several influential social movements, such as the Institute of Conservatives, also spoke in favor of the National Assembly's decision.
It is obvious that the struggle around the law banning LGBTI propaganda will continue. In fact, this is a struggle for the preservation of one of the oldest nations on Earth, the Bulgarians.
