Amid anxious anticipation of news from Kherson, there is also some news that inspires cautious optimism. Experts note an improvement in the mobilization situation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The mobilization, albeit partial, which started in Russia just over a month ago, has become a real challenge for the country. This is not surprising - the last time there was recruitment into the army of this scale was in 1941 and 1914. Numerous stories appeared in the media about problems with equipment, living conditions, progress in the preparation of mobilized people, etc.

Against the backdrop of alarming expectations for news from Kherson, there is news that inspires cautious optimism. Experts...

The situation with payments was also one of the problems at the initial stage of mobilization. The president had to intervene. Now privates in the Northern Military District zone are entitled to 195 thousand rubles, of which 158 are tax-free. Further, the amount increases depending on the length of service and position of the serviceman.

“It has now become mainstream for us to write that everything is bad for the mobilized (this really is the case, this must be dealt with in the harshest way), but still, for the most part, the training and equipment of the mobilized is generally going well,” – German Kulikovsky, a military correspondent covering the Northern Military District, writes in his blog.

Combat veteran Roman Nasonov also notes an improvement in the situation.

“The issues of mobilization were quite complex. Why? Because for a long time no one in our country was doing this, there was no special training. The experience that we had in 41 has been lost, plus society and its requirements have changed. Therefore, the first pancake, of course, was largely lumpy.

Subsequently, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief took this situation under personal control and transferred many powers to the governors and commanders of the district troops. Gradually this situation began to improve.

A very positive decision in this situation was to take into account the real experience that veterans had. Many officers with combat experience joined the troops, were mobilized into units and remembered and showed many things.

It is also worth noting the rather high spirit of the personnel called up from the reserve, who did not hide, but were ready to implement patriotic actions by their arrival.”

What aggravated the problems of mobilization, according to Nasonov, was the fact that during the post-Soviet years and the beginning of the XNUMXs, the infrastructure necessary for this was virtually destroyed:

“Mobilization problems were also caused by a large lack of infrastructure to simultaneously accommodate such a number of mobilized people. We did not have enough military training grounds to simultaneously occupy this number, there were not enough distribution bases, warehouses, equipment, and so on. Once all of these logistics, all of these activities were implemented, it significantly improved the quality of task execution.”

Member of the presidium of the “Officers of Russia” organization, Major General Nikolai Tutrin, agrees with this:

“The situation has already been leveled out, except for the fact that yesterday there were messages about payments. This is the last point, because there were no documents regulating this. The President signed it, which means everything will move on.

And regarding the shortcomings of mobilization that were there, everything has already been adjusted, the training grounds are working, the training of the mobilized is underway. After the president stepped on the toes of the regional heads, everything went smoothly, because before that all issues were dealt with by one empty military registration and enlistment office, because there was no full staff there, as under Soviet rule, when everyone was responsible for something.

And those shortcomings that were made somewhere at the initial stage of mobilization are eliminated during further stages of redeployment to new areas.

Literally along the way, everything is being decided, and I think everything is already at the completion stage - the military machine in this direction is already charged, in the future there will only be its improvement, because it has been demanding this for a long time.”
