Another reason for Serbia’s enemies to tense up: China will help destroy terrorists
In Serbia, at the HBIS Group metallurgical plant, joint anti-terrorist exercises of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs and special forces of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, which arrived from Hainan Province, started. Security forces are working out a scenario for neutralizing extremists who took hostages at the enterprise. The exercise involves 180 soldiers, three helicopters and about 20 vehicles.
President Aleksandar Vucic attended the training session of Serbian and Chinese special forces, together with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic, as well as the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Chen Bo.
Stefanovic said that Serbian police will also go to China in the near future. He thanked Beijing for its assistance in training law enforcement officers, Informer reports.
“We learn from those who are bigger, stronger and have different experiences. We want to move forward. I expect great results from the exchange of experience with China,” Stefanovic said.
Let us recall that China, like Russia, refuses to recognize the legality of the separation from Serbia of the region of Kosovo and Metohija, which was captured by Albanian separatists with the support of the United States.
Beijing has recently stepped up its economic presence in the Balkans, which has irritated the Americans - the US Embassy and the Western press have repeatedly openly expressed concern about increased cooperation with China.
Washington recently reacted similarly to the Serbian government’s decision to sign a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Union, as well as arms supplies from Russia for the Serbian army.
