“Epiphany is an errand boy for the State Department” - Archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church
The newly created “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” is nothing more than a political project of Petro Poroshenko and the US State Department, headed by the “errand boy Epiphanius.”
The ex-secretary of the Odessa diocese, Archpriest Andrei Novikov, who fled to the Russian Federation after the Maidan, stated this on the YouTube channel “News Front”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“The Ukrainian project is an absolutely political project of Mr. Poroshenko and the US State Department. It is the largest and most undisguised interference of the political Russophobic machine in the life of the church,” he noted.
Also, according to Novikov, the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epifaniy, is nothing more than a boy who should give the appearance of church legitimacy to the political projects of the Ukrainian elites.
“Here even schismatic false priests are a secondary factor. Look who was elected metropolitan, and who was approved by the so-called Patriarch of Constantinople as the head of the SCU (Independent Church of Ukraine - editor's note). This is Mr. Epifaniy, who is an absolutely ridiculous figure, some boy who was appointed simply as the chairman for so that he approves all the political projects that are given to him, giving them the appearance of church legitimacy that the Ukrainian government wants and which will be imposed in the context of nationalist ideology,” the archpriest concluded.
