Eliseev threatens to “set fire to the ground under Russia’s feet”
The “Crimean Platform” summit, announced by Kiev for August, will supposedly be an effective way to put pressure on Russia.
This was stated on Channel 5 by former deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine under Petro Poroshenko, diplomat Konstantin Eliseev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Eliseev, if such conditions are created for Russia, he will leave Crimea faster.
“As for Crimea, I have great hopes for the initiative that was laid back in 16 regarding the so-called “Crimean Platform.” We must create, through the “Crimean Platform,” such a mechanism of pressure on the Russian aggressor when the ground burns under him. When they can neither move to the right nor to the left. And when they will be forced to do something in order to finally get out of Crimea. This is a difficult, extremely complex question, but I think that the one who walks will master the road and we need to continue along this path,” Eliseev said.
