“This is an atrocity!” – Natsiks beaten for gays complained under Zelensky’s windows
Today in Kyiv, near the administration of the President of Ukraine, a rally of nationalists – opponents of the gay parade – took place.
Participants in the "LGBT on Blood" picket recalled that last year's protest against the gay pride parade was dispersed by security forces, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Then the protesters gathered at the monument to Grushevsky, i.e. on the route of the gay pride parade, on the eve of its holding. Early in the morning, shortly before the start of the gay pride parade, law enforcement officers surrounded the rally and pushed the crowd back. At the same time, law enforcement officers beat the nationalists and used tear gas. More than 50 people received injuries of varying severity.
Today, about two hundred people took part in the picket, mostly those who came out to last year’s rally - nationalists from various movements.
This year they also intend to protest on the day of the gay pride parade. The demonstrators submitted a petition to the Presidential Administration.
The rally participants held posters with the inscriptions “March of equality on blood - this is the face of LGBT”, “This is a warning protest, the patience of Ukrainians has a limit!”, “A traditional family is a healthy country!”, “If there is a family, there is a country.”
“We came out for prayer watch to protect civic values. We had no thoughts about any aggression. We submitted an application that we would come out to express our position, that we oppose the imposition of LGBT values. In the morning the police crushed us, they beat us, pushed us, and then my arms were all bruised. They poured tear gas on us, which increased my blood pressure, I was in a very bad condition, they called an ambulance. Some started to run away, but I didn’t even have such a thought - I didn’t do anything illegal,” said Nadezhda, a participant in last year’s action.
“I was a participant in this peaceful protest and saw everything with my own eyes. Words are not enough. On November 30, 2013, the youth were beaten, after which the Maidan began. I can say that in terms of brutality this beating on June 17 last year surpasses everything,” said schismatic chaplain Igor Plokhoi.
“We prayed there, read Scripture. Thousands of police surrounded us, they began to brutally attack people who were standing peacefully,” he said.
He emphasized that the rally was agreed upon, and its participants had the same right to hold it as gays. The time of the action was agreed upon, and it was supposed to end before the start of the gay pride parade.
“What was the point of attacking people and beating them like animals? I will say more - they did not have the task of simply ousting us. It was easy to push us out. We were surrounded in a tight circle and no one was allowed out, although the women and children asked to be let out. And they beat me. There was a minor there, Ruslan, whose leg was broken. He cried, asked the police to let him out, but they didn’t let him out - “sit, be silent.” And he waited for three hours with a broken leg, stepping on it until the ambulance arrived,” said Igor Plokhoy.
According to him, no one was punished for all this. Those gathered outlined all their grievances in an appeal to the president and demanded a ban on the gay pride parade.
“We demand to stop and ban such experiments in Ukraine. We all understood that gender ideology, including LGBT ideology, cannot be established in society in any other way except through manipulation and fear. People need to be intimidated. Already street preachers are being jailed in some countries simply for quoting the Word of God. They don’t say anything offensive to homosexuals, they just quote Holy Scripture, and for this they are punished,” the chaplain laments.
