"This is completely different". The West ignored the lawlessness of the Dutch police
Western media, whose front pages were filled with pictures of clashes between Russian police and supporters of blogger Alexei Navalny, demonstrate double standards.
Political observer Vladimir Kornilov writes about this in his blog, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The front pages of today’s Western newspapers are filled with photographs of police clashes with protesters (note that we don’t even call them “domestic terrorists”, as in the States). But why wasn’t this photo from Amsterdam on the front pages a week ago? In my opinion, it is no less expressive and informative! Who will explain?” the expert is perplexed.

The photographs show footage of the harsh dispersal by mounted police of protesters expressing dissatisfaction with the cabinet of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
During the dispersal of the action in Amsterdam, the police used water cannons, batons, and also deployed service dogs.
Also, bloody clashes between protesters and police occurred yesterday in Eidnhoven, the Netherlands, the political scientist notes.

“And this is today's Eindhoven. Do you think these photos will be on the front pages of Western newspapers outside the Netherlands tomorrow? (a rhetorical question),” writes Kornilov.
