“This is the new face of Serbia” – Vucic praised the work of Russian and Chinese railway workers
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited construction at the Zemun railway station, a section of the Belgrade – Stara Pazova high-speed road.
Vučić also inspected the final stage of construction of a viaduct and the laying of a track over it on the Belgrade-Novi Sad high-speed road in Beška, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The President of Serbia during the inspection of work on sections of the high-speed railway was accompanied by Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko and Chinese Ambassador Chen Bo.
“This is a different face of Serbia,” said Aleksandar Vucic. – Citizens again (after NATO bombings destroyed the country’s railway infrastructure – ed.) began to use the railway. We will have the most modern railway, the most technologically advanced in this part of Europe. In less than a year, people will be able to travel on the Belgrade-Novi Sad railway.”
During the inspection of the construction site, the President of Serbia was interested in when the Russian railway workers performing work on this site would begin construction of the most modern control center for Serbian railways.
The director of RZD International Serbia announced that the contract for the first phase of the project will be awarded in June and physical work will begin in September, and that the entire control center project, which consists of several phases, will be completed by the end of 2023.
President Vučić noted that the new dispatch center will be crucial for the development of Serbian railways, as it will ensure complete control over railway traffic.
“We will have more safety and security, we will know which railways and trains are occupied, we will have complete control,” President Vučić emphasized.
During an inspection of the work of the future railway line for trains reaching speeds of up to 200 km per hour, on the Belgrade Center - Stara Pazova section, Vučić received a promise from the Chinese companies operating this section of the road that the work would be completed by the end of September, and the site could be opened to train traffic by the end of the year.

It was also announced that work will begin on the last section of the high-speed railway from Novi Sad to the Hungarian border on September 1 this year.

Currently, work on the high-speed railway is carried out on the Belgrade - Stara Pazova section with a length of 34,5 km, which is carried out by the Chinese companies CCSS and CRI, as well as on the Stara Pazova - Novi Sad route with a length of 40,4 kilometers, which the Russian company RZD International is working on.
