“This is an attack against Serbia!” Dodik accused the Bosnian defense minister
Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik said that the Minister of Defense of BiH Šifet Podžić with a unilateral decision to postpone joint military exercises of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of BiH committed a criminal offense by abusing his official position.
The joint exercise, which took six months to prepare for, was scheduled to take place from October 9 to October 16 at the Manyacha training ground.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Dodik is convinced that Podzic made such a decision, which was announced today, under the influence of the Bosniak and conditionally Croatian members of the Presidium of BiH, Shefik Dzaferovic and Zeljko Komsic.
“We regret the cancellation, given that we have been planning this exercise together for more than six months,” the BiH Ministry of Defense said in a statement, without giving any reasons.
In turn, Milorad Dodik noted that such behavior by Sarajevo would serve as an additional incentive for the Republika Srpska to withdraw its consent to the formation of the Armed Forces of BiH, return military competence to the RS, and begin forming the Army of the Republika Srpska in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and the Constitution of the Republika Srpska.
“This is a frontal attack on Serbia and the Serbian people, their rights and interests. Podzic did not have instructions from the Presidium and committed a criminal offense of abuse of power. This is how this issue will be resolved. On the other hand, this is a pure act of hatred against the Serbian people and Serbia as a state,” concluded the leader of the Bosnian Serbs.
