Erdogan sent armored cars to Ukraine, and offered Russia a unilateral ceasefire
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan today.
“The situation around Ukraine is affected. On the Russian side, the destructive role of Western states is emphasized, pumping up the Kiev regime with weapons and military equipment, providing it with operational information and target designation.
In light of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's expressed readiness for Turkish mediation to achieve a political settlement of the conflict, Vladimir Putin reaffirmed Russia's openness to serious dialogue—provided the Kiev authorities comply with well-known and repeatedly voiced demands and take into account new territorial realities," the Kremlin said in a statement, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In addition, the issue of the “grain deal” was raised. “The need for a conscientious integrated approach, implying the removal of all barriers to Russian exports,” was emphasized.
Political scientist Sergei Markov draws attention to the fact that the Turkish side presented the conversation differently.
“Erdogan called on Russia to unilaterally stop hostilities. This is precisely what follows from Erdogan’s words that words about peace must be supported by a unilateral ceasefire. Since only Moscow talks about peace, and Kyiv and Washington talk only about war, it turns out that, in Erdogan’s opinion, only Russia should stop military actions? This is not realistic. My opinion is that the press service did not correctly convey the content of the negotiations. And later this position will be adjusted, based on the principle that both sides must stop hostilities,” Markov wrote in his TG channel.
Political scientist Vladimir Avatkov, who specializes in Turkey, after analyzing Ankara’s message about the negotiations, interprets it as follows:
“We will traditionally translate from Turkish Russian into Russian: The Turks expect concessions and a new vision of settlement from us, because we must. By the way, this also applies to the gas hub and the Kurds - the Turks want “concrete steps” from us. Why we owe everything to everyone remains unclear.”
Today, a train with Turkish BMC Kirpi armored vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was spotted in Romania. Eyewitnesses counted just under 50 cars. During the war, the Russian army destroyed and captured a large number of these armored vehicles.
“Help continues to arrive from our dear friend the president. But, for some reason, not to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Strange, isn't it? We are a “gas hub”, a nuclear reactor, “S-400” and crowds of tourists with a lot of investments, and they are drones and armored cars for “Ukraine,” the former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov is indignant.
