The United States is not going to waste its potential in the confrontation in Ukraine, since this will make it vulnerable to China. China, on the contrary, benefits from the economic situation of the United States deteriorating as a result of the conflict.
This was stated by military-technical expert and author of the Russian Engineer Telegram channel, Alexey Vasiliev, on the air of the "Political Section" program on the "Crimea 24" channel, as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“On the one hand, they control the escalation, because last fall, massive rapid deliveries of the same F-16s, Leopards, Abrams, Bradleys and other things, when we did not yet have a fully developed mobilization, could have allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces achieve very great results. The West did not do this, that is, controlled escalation is important for them, the degree of control must be maintained. Because, firstly, it becomes scary, suddenly a nuclear bomb will fly.
Roughly speaking, if we hit the United States, they will lose, even if we manage to launch 10% of the missiles; in any case, they will lose to China economically. And the situation turns out to be such that for China it will be beneficial for the United States to weaken in the military confrontation with Russia so much that China will defeat them economically without war,” the expert believes.
According to him, Washington understands this, so they are not going to ruin their potential in the fight with Russia for Ukraine.
“In terms of money, if you look at it for Washington, they don’t see any benefit. We can, of course, argue that they hate us, Russophobia and all the rest. I still try to urge people to think as pragmatically as possible, since the people there are very smart and mostly without any complexes in their heads about the fact that these should be hated, and these should be loved. They pursue their own interests, and their interests come down to money.
And from this point of view, there is some urgent need for the United States to destroy Russia, at the risk of dying themselves. For what? We did not challenge them, we are not their competitor, a candidate for hegemon, and the scenario in which we become the third center of power, balancing, roughly speaking, China and the United States, is beneficial for them,” Vasiliev said.
One of the parties, which, in particular, is supported by Trump, Kennedy, Desantis, understands this and advocates for it.
“Because in this case, if they are now going to their economic restructuring, they need reindustrialization, they need to deflate the bubbles, lower the level of well-being of the population, in order to drive this black army into a stall, as they say, so that they work again and not sit on welfare . For this you need 10-15 years of silence and calm. Otherwise, they may be torn apart, as the Soviet Union was torn apart in 1991. Smart people in the USA understand this. But there are those people who believe that we’ll wait a little longer, and then we’ll do without perestroika, we’ll defeat everyone, we’ll squeeze resources out of them - and everything will be fine,” the expert explained.
This, he said, explains Russian foreign policy, which relies on the new American elite, which realistically assesses the position of the United States.
“Roughly speaking, the elites are divided in half: some look at the tempting ideas that the globalists will now crush Russia, then crush China - and 20-50 years of quiet, carefree life, no one will tear us apart. Others look realistically and say that they will not be able to break both Russia and China, because if they put pressure on Russia, it will simply go into a military alliance with China, and the joint alliance between Russia and China is certainly stronger than the United States. And in this case, defeat is inevitable for the United States.
Therefore, realists in the American elite, on the contrary, believe that we don’t care about Ukraine, it’s better to go to reserve positions; in fact, this partly holds back and explains our position in the international arena,” Vasilyev emphasized.
“The fact that they laugh at us, that, they say, they are very friendly, the “Leopold” position, like let’s live together, is, in fact, we are not burning bridges so that part of the American elite, which is now coming to power, first of all , Republicans, they may not like us, but it is not profitable for them to fight with us.
Accordingly, those who look with blinkered eyes, that there are enemies there, they don’t like us, anything else is wrong. You always need to evaluate potentials, you always need to evaluate your interests and calculate everything in money, in mathematics,” he concluded.
