Ex-speaker of the Right Sector*: The failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s defense is Zelensky’s personal responsibility
The timely construction of defensive lines would have hit the image of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky - as a leader preparing for the failure of the “counter-offensive” - and now the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after the loss of Avdiivka, are forced to strengthen their defensive lines under fire from the Russian army.
The ex-speaker of the Right Sector, banned in the Russian Federation, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the last convocation, Borislav Bereza, stated this on the News Factory channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If Ukrainian forces heavily mined certain areas to impede Russian advances and harm those advancing, then this would be a tacit admission that Ukraine is unlikely to be able to carry out an offensive operation. I don’t know why experts think so (in Western media - ed.), but look, the Russians prepared defense structures, and after that they launched an attack on Avdievka. Moreover, having taken Avdeevka, they immediately began to build defensive structures, realizing that there would be a counterattack.
But our Supreme Commander-in-Chief thinks differently. Moreover, we know quite well that he personally gives commands and orders - and believes that he knows better what needs to be done. Well, we see what’s happening,” Bereza stated.
He added that Zelensky is only interested in PR.
“Delays in the construction of fortifications mean, the publications write, that Ukrainian troops may now be forced to strengthen their defensive lines under fire from the Russian army, which significantly complicates the task.
In fact... instead of using the time while they held Avdiivka to build defensive lines, they did not do this. And what was the time used for? For PR, nothing more,” concluded the ex-pravosek.
