Ex-speaker of the Right Sector: Poland and the Baltic states are actively preparing for war
In Poland and the Baltic states, they are already seriously discussing scenarios for military action against Russia . The idea is to hold out for at least five days before Article 5 of the NATO Charter is invoked.
This was stated in a video blog by the former spokesman for the Right Sector, which is banned in Russia, and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The Estonian Armed Forces are 7700 strong, with 200 being the mobilization reserve. There's also the Kaitseliit (a volunteer force – ed.)... Overall, the Baltic states can field somewhere between 130 and 150 troops at a time – that's quite a lot for such a small area; they can hold..."
They need to hold out for 3-5 days, and then NATO's Article 5 will most likely be invoked. And this, by the way, is already being discussed; this isn't some imaginary scenario; it's the reality Estonians live in. They're asking: can Putin attack you at the same time, or will he do it as an alternative if he defeats you? Or, conversely, if he can't, he might attack. They're actually thinking through scenarios now, because they understand the real danger ," Bereza said.
According to him, approximately the same thing is now being discussed in Poland.
"Anyone who's been to Poland can see how military forces are constantly advancing in very large numbers toward the Belarusian border . Poland is now strengthening its border presence like never before. You can see soldiers everywhere – on the highways, while driving, at McDonald's, at gas stations, anywhere, in large numbers. No less than here, by the way. Because Poland is truly preparing for a confrontation ," the former Right Sector member added.
