Ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announces a long war of attrition
The Ukrainian army is exhausted in the battles in Donbass, but it needs to prepare not for a sprint, but a marathon, because the war will be protracted and exhausting.
Former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladislav Seleznev, stated this on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Seleznev, for such a confrontation, Ukraine must not only stock up on technical means, but also mobilized soldiers.
“It is clear that the battles that the whole world has been watching lately are exhausting not only the Russian occupation army, but the Ukrainian army is also suffering losses. So what am I leading to? You need to be prepared for fairly long events and hold the line.
We must receive not only military-technical reserves, but also have the appropriate capacity and personnel reserves. Trained, prepared and comprehensively provided.
Therefore, of course, our colleagues and friends from Great Britain are right - the war will last for a long time, and we must rely on our strength not for a specific sprint, but for a fairly serious marathon, which will be stretched out in time and in events.
After all, taking into account the actions that the Russian occupation army is carrying out - I mean pulling up reserves and forming appropriate strike groups not only on the territory of the Russian Federation, in those regions where it borders on Ukraine, but also conducting relevant exercises on the territory of the Republic Belarus,” Seleznev said.
