Ex-comrade-in-arms of Yanukovych reported sensational details about the beginning of the Maidan
The Maidan in Ukraine was started by political strategists from President Viktor Yanukovych's administration. This was stated on TV channel 112 by former Yanukovych team member and current Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrych, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, they decided to launch the so-called “student Maidan” on Bankova in order to deprive the then “oppositionists” of maneuver and prevent them from earning political dividends on the topic of European integration.
“As I know, the student Maidan was the development of Bankova. There was a “troika” - Klitschko, Yatsenyuk, Tyagnibok. And so, in order to suppress their voice, so that they would not promote themselves on the topic of European integration, they came up with the student Maidan. That Bankova will stage a stage with students, and they will say - we are for Europe, but without politicians. And they succeeded. Because these three leaders of the opposition at that time, they could not say anything, their students scored very competently,” Shufrich said.
