Former NATO representative to Russia Harry Tabakh came to this conclusion on the air of the internet channel "Know 24", the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
According to Tabach, given the combination of all these factors, the Ukrainian army will be capable of a counter-offensive.
“Obviously you need air defense, like the S-300 or something that equates to it. I know that the Americans promised to give you medium-range air defense, but you will still need to cover the sky, no matter how you look at it, with aviation. Aviation will still be needed for air defense, but also for counter-offensive,” said the former NATO representative.
“How quickly will all this be created? I don't know. Of course, there are different scenarios that I think through at my low level and consult with others. Of course, it would be nice to have enough HIMARS to smash all their rears, thus encircling them, creating an encirclement.
Show them that you have a lot of everything, you are ready, and if they don’t show a gesture of goodwill and get out of here, then you will simply destroy them with guns, and then come in and clear your territory with tanks,” Tabakh said.
