The host of the foreign agent TV channel “Dozhd”, foreign agent Mikhail Kozyrev, deeply regrets that he collected the soundtrack for the now cult film “Brother-2” by the outstanding Russian director Alexei Balabanov.
He stated this to Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called him under the guise of the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andrey Yermak, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I've gone back and forth many times over the years about whether I did it right or wrong. I have only one answer: at that moment it was simply perceived as a comedy. Like an absurd comedy. These were actually Yeltsin’s times, Putin had just gained power. Everyone who worked on the film thought: well, it’s clear that we’re kidding, this is satire. The first time I was shocked was at the premiere, when Sukhorukov said from the screen, “You will answer me for Sevastopol,” and the audience burst into laughter and applause,” Kozyrev said.
He is worried that the film turned out to be “instructions for Putin” and hopes for a victory for Ukraine or an attempt on the life of the Russian President.
Kozyrev ended his communication with the pranksters with a Nazi chant, which he got right the second time.
