Two Crimean traffic cops who got burned by a bribe were given 3 years in prison

Simferopol, April 06 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – A court in Crimea sentenced two former traffic police officers Alexander Yakovenko and Sergei Kulyakin, accused of taking a bribe.

This was reported by the press service of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for the region.

According to the investigation, on January 27, the accused received a bribe from a citizen in the amount of 27,5 thousand rubles for not bringing him to administrative responsibility. In February, Yakovenko and Kulyakin were dismissed from the internal affairs bodies.

Taking into account all the arguments of the investigation, the court sentenced the ex-policemen to 3 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime colony, with a fine of 520 and 580 thousand rubles.

It is noted that “the verdict has not entered into legal force.”
