The Strangler of the Russian Spring is confidently leading in the polls in the Southeast
If the elections for the mayor of Dnepropetrovsk were held today, then the incumbent Boris Filatov, who previously called the rebel Donbass and Crimea “scum” who need to make promises and “hang them later,” would win.
These results, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , were obtained during a survey conducted by the sociological group Rating.
48,5% of those who have decided and intend to take part in the elections are ready to vote for Filatov. In second place by a large margin is the representative of the “Opposition Bloc” Alexander Vilkul – 14,9%.
It is noteworthy that the candidate from the ruling Servant of the People party, Sergei Ryzhenko, has a rating of 7,0%.
Let us recall that in 2014 Filatov was the deputy of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky as governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region. This team provided financial support to Ukrainian punitive units in the Donbass and actively suppressed protests of political opponents with pro-Russian views.
