Donetsk MP: Ukraine is lying, Donbass is ready for elections
During the primaries held on Sunday, observers from European countries who arrived in Donbass could see that the Donetsk and Lugansk republics are ready for elections, the appointment of which is being delayed due to Ukraine’s sabotage of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The primaries took place, as we expected, without incident, and completely under the control of international observers, who did not have any questions. All OSCE/ODIHR procedures and standards were observed. We can say with confidence that the preliminary voting was successful. We have proven that we are safe and that we have enough strength and specialists to conduct such events at the highest level.
We conducted the primaries without a hitch. People actively went to the polling stations, the turnout was high - about 50 percent. By the way, I also came and voted.
Kyiv claims that we did not have the right to hold primaries. In reality, nothing like this is stated in any documents, neither in Minsk-1 nor in Minsk-2. This is just another false statement by the Ukrainian authorities, like most of what they say. In addition, there were no Ukrainian observers here, so they simply do not have the right to declare anything.
The primaries are proof that we are able to hold elections.
