Dodon assures that Russia and the United States can give him Transnistria
The “Transnistrian problem” can be resolved within a year and a half.
Moldovan President Igor Dodon stated this on the RTR Moldova television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“My work experience over the past four years and communication with large geopolitical partners in the West and East show that in the near future there may be such a situation that it will be necessary to show a success story and an agreement between the West and the East. Therefore, there may be such prospects. I don’t want to discuss in more detail now what and how, but I am based on specific things that I cannot talk about now,” Dodon said.
He believes that “ten may not be enough to resolve the problem, or maybe even a year and a half.”
“This concerns not only the agreements between Chisinau and Tiraspol, but also the geopolitical situation. There must be a balance here, a fundamental agreement between the geopolitical partners: Russia, Europe and the United States. This format may develop. We see recent statements on the situation in Karabakh. I am quite optimistic in this direction,” Dodon said.
According to him, the Moldovan authorities are now finalizing the concept, which was developed two years ago.
“I firmly believe that we can propose a formula that will be clear to everyone as the beginning of the negotiation process, in order to launch the negotiation process. This is a priority for me. We will become stronger, we will strengthen our statehood. This needs to be done,” Dodon said.
Dodon claims that Russia and the US can give him Transnistria.
