DPR bypasses blockade and increases export of industrial equipment
Despite the continuation of the economic blockade, since 2018, the export of mining equipment produced in the DPR has increased annually.
This was revealed, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , during a visit by DPR head Denis Pushilin to the state-owned enterprise Donetskgormash, whose main activities include the manufacture of stationary mining equipment, underground mining machines, and open-pit mining equipment.
According to the management of the enterprise, at the end of November this year, 95% of the products were exported to the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
“For all participants in today’s meeting, the issue of realizing export potential is important. We now have to find in our difficult conditions of isolation and blockade those opportunities that will allow us to load our production capacities. We have no other way,” said the head of the republic.
He added that the DPR Ministry of Industry and Trade is looking for additional opportunities, providing administrative support, but trying not to particularly advertise this aspect of its activities.
“There are enterprises in Russia and Belarus with which we cooperate, and they are trying to intimidate them, saying that they work with terrorists, which is not true.
These are the conditions that we have. Our task is to cope and use the potential that we have and inherited from the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, for the most part, over the years that Ukraine was here, many things fell into disrepair. And now this is our responsibility,” Pushilin concluded.
During the meeting, heads of a number of DPR enterprises expressed their vision of state support for the industry. Thus, they asked to consider the possibility of developing a special tariff for electricity and providing land tax benefits for enterprises.
