The DPR and LPR were not invited to the negotiations in Minsk, the agenda was not agreed upon

Moscow – Kiev, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – On the eve of the meeting of the contact group on the Ukrainian settlement in Minsk, it became clear that its agenda had not been agreed upon, and representatives of the DPR and LPR had not received invitations to Minsk, Kommersant has learned.

According to yesterday's official information from Kyiv and Moscow, the next round of Minsk negotiations on Ukraine should take place on December 24 and 26. Last night, Russian television reported in the news on this topic that the composition of the contact group has not changed - it still includes ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, representatives of the DPR and LPR, as well as OSCE representative Heidi Tagliavini.

However, less than a day before the resumption of negotiations, the leadership of the DPR and LPR reported that no one had agreed with them on the dates of new meetings. “There is no information,” complained the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko. And he did not fail to remind that ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, representing Kyiv at the negotiations, “is not an official.”
There is also no clarity regarding the agenda for future negotiations. “I can’t say that the agenda has been agreed upon. This is a very complex process,” said Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE Andrei Kelin yesterday. Speaking about the content of the upcoming consultations, Mr. Kelin added: “I know that four blocks of questions were envisaged. But not everyone agrees with this.”

Earlier, Andrei Kelin mentioned the study of four issues: “the breeding of heavy weapons, the exchange of forcibly detained persons, the provision of humanitarian assistance and the establishment of economic ties between Donbass and Kiev.”
