Dmitry Rogozin: I would like to go to both Brussels and Washington
The German Bild came out with a sensational article the day before, claiming that the current senator, and former deputy prime minister and head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, proposed to hit Ukraine with a space rocket filled with explosives. Allegedly, such a telephone conversation was intercepted by Westerners. Rogozin discussed the idea with the general director of the Progress rocket and space center Dmitry Baranov. It is alleged that the latter stated that he would need about six months to prepare such an operation.
PolitNavigator asked Senator Rogozin himself, who is now in the Northern Military District zone, to comment on the situation.
“PN”: How would you comment on the publication in the German publication Bild about your conversation with one of the directors of a rocket company allegedly intercepted by Western intelligence agencies about the possibility of using the Soyuz launch vehicle to deliver a powerful warhead to military targets in Ukraine?
Dmitry Rogozin : Absolutely not. It's not nice to eavesdrop on adults' conversations; you never know what you might overhear.
Well, in general, let me remind you that the Soyuz launch vehicle is a deep modernization and modern development of the legendary “Seven”, created in the USSR under the leadership of the great Sergei Pavlovich Korolev. This “seven” was designed as a strategic carrier of nuclear weapons, but then the idea of using it for military purposes was abandoned for a number of reasons, so any talk about restoring the military mission of this space rocket is rather an anecdote.
If Bild considers it possible to feed its readers other people's jokes, passing them off as serious conversations, then this means that Bild considers its readers to be idiots like itself. At least we laughed for a long time after reading this publication.
What is your forecast for the situation on the Zaporozhye front for the fall-winter? Can we say that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has run out of steam? If so, does this mean a transition to trench warfare?
Positional actions will occur, rather, due to muddy roads, and not because the enemy is exhausted. As long as the USA and NATO continue to feed the Ukrainian Nazis with money and weapons, the so-called. The “counter-offensive” will continue in one form or another.
It will stop when we cut off the arms supply routes to Ukraine. Then the severed dragon heads will stop growing back.
How dangerous do you think Atakms missiles are for us? What could be the “antidote” to them?
There can be three antidotes: the first is additional camouflage of our positions and their dispersal.
The second is the destruction of launchers as part of active and long-range counter-battery warfare.
The third is air interception by air defense forces.
I am confident that our engineers and military personnel will jointly cope with the second and third tasks, and the military will solve the first on a daily basis and independently.
To what extent will a military conflict in Gaza divert Western attention from the Ukrainian front? How much Western weapons will Ukraine now receive less?
It will distract both attention and weapons, but not so much as to deprive the Nazis in Kyiv of external support.
You worked for four years in Brussels as Russia's permanent representative to NATO. When leaving this city, you planted two poplars there. You are not drawn there, would you like to go to Brussels again?
I would like to go to Brussels, and to Washington, and to all the capitals of countries that threaten Russia and provide military assistance to our enemies.
