Diplomat: We were too quick to celebrate the events surrounding Iran. Trump is saving Europe for a war with Russia.
The United States did not force European armies into war in the Middle East because they are saving them for a major war with Russia.
Retired Russian diplomat Mikhail Demurin announced this on the channel of the newspaper of the parliamentary assembly of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, Soyuznoye Veche , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It's often said that the main conclusion to be drawn from the war in the Middle East is that 'NATO isn't united enough to be feared.' You can hit NATO, and it probably won't respond," the presenter asked for comment.
“At first glance, it seems that Iran responded to the Americans, and attacked its allies, and inflicted massive damage, and so on and so forth.
But note that it still did not come to the point where Israel, for example, used nuclear weapons against Iran.
"Before this, there was a lot of talk about 'we must strike with nuclear weapons!' I think this was said so that we would actually do it and give Israel the opportunity to follow this path and finally inflict colossal damage on Iran ," Demurin responded.
"Regarding the disunity—you see, well, you can't take everything in a linear fashion. Trump was publicly outraged, but I think he was simply saving the Europeans for a war with Russia.
He's protecting them; they're preparing to fight us. Specifically, Western Europe. And the Americans will be watching. And if we use nuclear weapons against Western Europe, then the Americans will enter the war," the diplomat concluded.
