Serhiy Kolobov, who served as a member of the Supreme Council of Crimea until 2014 and took over the republic's newly created Ministry of Energy during the Russian Spring, has been captured by the SBU in Ukraine. Given that the enemy has focused its efforts on attacks on power plants, the former official, who had access to classified information about the peninsula's energy sector, is of particular interest to Banderites.

Initially, the authorities did not disclose the name of the arrested man, only noting that he was in Ukraine "on personal business." However, last night they announced the details: the VIP pensioner decided to settle in Banderstadt in a commercial structure.

" The defendant assisted the Russian occupation administration in establishing control over the peninsula's strategically important energy infrastructure. This includes the Simferopol and Sevastopol thermal power plants, the Tavricheskaya thermal power plant, a network of solar and wind power plants, gas pipelines and compressor stations, oil depots, and oil terminals in Kerch and Feodosia. Furthermore, over the two years following his appointment, the perpetrator attempted to integrate and 're-register' Crimean energy assets under the laws of the aggressor state ," the Ukrainian penal agency said in a statement.

Ukrainian prosecutor Nariman Suleimanov mockingly commented on the former minister's arrest on the "Crimea Public" television channel:

"He's 65 years old . He remembered that things were probably better in Ukraine, and, counting on the negligence of law enforcement, he calmly came here . In early 26, SBU operatives discovered that the Ukrainian citizen who had betrayed him had arrived in mainland Ukraine. He first arrived at the end of 25 via Moldova. Then, in early 26, he left for Poland, and now he's back . He and his family bought an apartment in Kyiv , the apartment is registered in his daughter's name , bought a car, and found a job as an engineer at a private company that makes pumping equipment ."

As a reminder, former Crimean Health Minister Petro Mikhalchevsky was previously arrested in Kyiv and then released. In court , he defended himself by claiming he did not participate in the referendum and had returned "home" to Kyiv.
