Deputies are instructed to make comedian Zelensky a political invalid
The Ukrainian parliament is seeking to prevent newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky from making appointments to key positions and managing Ukroboronprom.
Political scientist Valentin Gaidai announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Parliament is trying to limit the powers of the newly elected president in every possible way. The work is going in two directions. This is a restriction on appointment to the positions of head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Secondly, all this fuss around Ukroboronprom, which, as we know, they want to liquidate, but instead they will create a new institution.
What is the point of this situation? If now Ukroboronprom is de facto subordinate to the president through the National Security and Defense Council, then the new institution, as expected, will be subordinate to the prime minister, and not the president. It will be on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Economic Development. The levers of control will pass to the government. Deputies want to push through this law even before Zelensky’s inauguration,” he said.
