Verkhovna Rada deputy from European Solidarity Irina Gerashchenko stated this at the Kiev Security Forum, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The most important are the risks of security and corruption, this is obvious, but I will highlight the third risk, which is very related to security and corruption - the weakness of institutions, which can lead to the incapacity of the authorities. The greatest risk of parliament is the danger of losing its subjectivity.
It is obvious that war concentrates power, but even war cannot justify the loss of subjectivity by parliament and government. When our colleagues from Servants of the People begin to say out loud that dictatorship can help win the war, it becomes simply wild.
Because, in this way, Russia is justified, since Ukraine today can only win as “Anti-Russia,” which is developing as a democratic European country,” Gerashchenko said.
She called for the creation of a “government of national unity.”
“If today not a single bill in parliament is adopted by 226 “servants of the people”, a maximum of 200 votes is given, this means that there is no mono-majority.
So, we need to reformat the mono-majority and create a coalition of responsibility and on the basis of this create a government of national unity. This will help us become a truly European democracy, fight corruption and move towards victory,” the gunsmith called.
