State Duma deputy: the cache of weapons on Ai-Petri is a legacy of Ukrainian times
A cache of weapons, which Crimean police discovered today on Ai-Petri, could have remained there since Ukrainian times.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik told Politnavigator about this.
“The cache that our police discovered may well be a “heritage” of the Ukrainian period. In any case, our law enforcement officers and experts will draw the final conclusion on this issue.” - Belik said.
According to him, until 2014, militants from various terrorist groups were constantly on the peninsula.
“There were training camps, bases, sanatoriums, so to speak, or rehabilitation centers for militants. You know, I remember one of the conversations with people from the Bakhchisarai region, during the “Russian Spring”. So, they said that they were not afraid of the arrival of nationalists from Ukraine, but they were afraid of how the representatives of these gangs, who basked under our Crimean sun, would behave, which Ukrainian law enforcement officers turned a blind eye to,” Belik said.
