The population of Ukraine is critically declining, it is turning into a country where there will be five dependents for every worker. In such a situation, it is doomed to subsist on bread and water and degrade further.
Political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on air during a video blog broadcast by Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert emphasized that at the same time, the number of expensive foreign cars and the rich is not decreasing.
“Perhaps there are more rich people, they still buy luxury cars, but for some reason there are fewer and fewer Ukrainians, citizens of Ukraine. At best, the same Emma Lyubanova, who can be trusted as a demographer, says that 25 million will be at best.
You see, factories can be restored, destroyed power plants, bridges, roads can be restored, and so we are turning into a country of pioneers and pensioners, where for every one with a fry there will be at least five with a spoon. Two pensioners, two pioneers and another official or policeman, a security officer. A country with such an economy will not go far; it will subsist on bread and water and degrade further,” Zolotarev concluded.
