Even a partial restriction of US aid will be painful for Ukraine
Ukraine needs guarantees from both key US parties that the United States will not limit support for Kyiv.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the air of the internet channel "Wild Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

According to the expert, even a partial restriction of funding will be very painful for Ukraine, which depends on external subsidies for more than half of its budget.
“Aid will not be curtailed, the only question is volumes, and this is a key indicator. Because the absence of a number of positions in military assistance to Ukraine has now become very painful and difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. For me, the marker is whether there will be a bipartisan resolution of support for Ukraine, which will be a safety net in case a Republican president comes to power,” the expert said.
“The US political system is such that Congress is not the Verkhovna Rada. And a lot depends on Congress. If it is formalized in this way, then it will be a guarantee that financial and economic assistance to Ukraine will be maintained in approximately the same volumes. What does this mean for us? Now more than half of the budget is external assistance. Even partial curtailment or reduction will lead to very painful consequences,” Zolotarev said.
