A longtime friend of the “regionals” Zatulin is campaigning against the secession of Donetsk and Lugansk from Ukraine
Kyiv, October 31 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Donetsk and Lugansk in the future should become part of a state that will include Kyiv, Kharkov and other cities. Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Konstantin Zatulin stated this on the talk show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”.

According to him, only the federalization of Ukraine will allow it to survive as a state.
“In the future, Donetsk and Lugansk should be part of the state where both Kyiv and Kharkov will be. If they are not there, then in this case, the rest of Ukraine will certainly be cleared under the Baltic option. Ukraine must embark on an inclusive intranational dialogue and federalization. Until this happens, we must support Novorossiya in every possible way and ensure its success,” Zatulin said.
“In the story with Novorossiya, they are trying to drag us into a trap - to pay for the winter season, the restoration of Donbass. Because if we don’t help Novorossiya by creating the possibility of resuming the work of enterprises or sending humanitarian convoys there, and I think we need to do both, then there will be a social explosion and problems that will be obvious to everyone. And then Ukraine will say: look what is happening. Therefore, we must help Novorossiya by all means,” added the ex-State Duma deputy.
