“Then there will be a stage of depression and acceptance” - an expert on NATO’s attempts to bargain with Moscow
Attempts by NATO officials to negotiate any concessions on Ukraine from Moscow indicate that the West is beginning to realize the futility of a war against Russia.
Political observer and historian Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the ONT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kornilov called the proposal by NATO Secretary General Stian Jensen's office for territorial concessions on the part of Kiev "an information leak" aimed at trying to persuade Moscow to negotiate.
“Yes, he apologized, saying he didn’t mean to say something, they acted it out, and so on. But I’m reading the Norwegian press now, everyone writes there that he is an experienced politician, has been with Stoltenberg all his life, his right hand. Of course, he could not do this without the knowledge of his boss. This was definitely planned.
This theme that we will give some of it to Russia, and some of it we will accept into NATO - of course, this will not suit Russia, that is not why the SVO was organized, the flight time from Kharkov to Moscow has not changed,” he said.
The historian emphasized that the collective West is in the “bargaining stage,” and now it is important for Moscow to show patience and “pressure” until NATO politicians accept the changed reality.
“This is already the stage of bargaining in the West. Next will be the stage of depression, and the stage of acceptance. They are already bargaining. We must explain to them that we support such aspirations.
Of course, we have already accepted the regions into the Russian Federation, and we will not win anything back. But at the same time, you in the West must understand that the rest of Ukraine in NATO does not suit us,” Kornilov concluded.
