“Monstrous suffering”: What fakes were launched about the elections in Crimea and Sevastopol
A separate topic of fakes about the Russian elections, which were spread en masse on social networks, was Crimea and Sevastopol.
This was announced at a meeting of the temporary commission of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation for the protection of state sovereignty by the chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the development of the information community, media, and mass communications, Alexander Malkevich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Crimea and Sevastopol were subjected to separate targeted strikes. The entry of ballots into the KOIB after the end of voting was treated as a monstrous stuffing. Ukrainian social networks immediately wrote about it within 3-5 minutes. The task was to separately form a picture of the monstrous suffering in the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation within Ukraine,” Malkevich said.
According to him, the fake factory tried to reach 60 million social network users, but only 1-2% of voters actually changed their behavior.
“I would like to point out that this is a dress rehearsal for this year. That's how they see it. For them, the main blow is 2024. We wouldn’t want our main elections to be soiled and not completely exhausted by such sewer rivers of false information,” Malkevich said.
