Kyiv, December 01 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Crimean Tatars are under pressure from security forces on the peninsula. The leader of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, stated this on TV channel 112.

Chubarov admitted that in Crimea there are representatives of the people who have become better off.

“The authorities are trying to divide the Crimean Tatar society through pressure from the security forces. It is clear that some people, for various reasons, cooperate with the authorities. The authorities find ethnic Ukrainians who do not want Ukraine and Crimean Tatars who say that their lives have become better,” Chubarov said.
