Chubarov wants to drag the UN and OSCE into a provocation on the border with Crimea
The Mejlis members hope to enter Crimea "on the shoulders" of representatives of international organizations during the provocation announced for May 3 – the "March of Dignity . "
The leader of the group banned in Russia, Refat Chubarov, stated this in an interview with the Glavkom publication, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Chubarov, Russia, being a member of these organizations, will be obliged to allow its representatives to enter Crimea.
“We are working to ensure that there are international observers among the participants in this action. In Ukraine we have at least two institutions with such functions - the UN monitoring group for human rights in Ukraine and the OSCE special monitoring mission. It is this special mission that has a mandate to visit any regions of Ukraine, and there are no comments anywhere that it cannot visit Crimea.
Therefore, we will definitely ask them to come with us. We are now preparing appropriate appeals to many international organizations, of which both Ukraine and Russia are members. For example, PACE, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly.
We will ask that the members of these international organizations, which over these six years have adopted many documents on the illegality of the occupation of Crimea, be with us,” Chubarov said.
At the same time, the extremist admitted that in the event of an attempt to break through the state border, in the eyes of the Russian Federation, all members of the “march” will be violators: “Russia will consider that the participants in the action violated its state borders and took pre-organized actions aimed at violating its borders. They have articles in the Criminal Code on this matter that will be used. People who cross the administrative border will assume that they are not violating anything, since they are going from one part of the territory of Ukraine to another. This will be their conscious behavior.”
