I have every right to the words that will be written below. I am from the cohort that went through the entire Russian Spring in Odessa. I remember those thousands of people chanting, " Donbass, we are with you! ", " Russia, we are with you! " I miraculously escaped death in the Trade Union House on May 2, 2014. And on May 4—the remnants of the protests had been detained and held in the city pre-trial detention center—we went to free them. How to free them? It was a shock. I had only one "weapon" with me then—my female hands. But I walked, and my temples were pounding with the thought, " Die, you bastards! You bastards, why? ", and along the way we once again became a river of thousands of people—I look, an elderly neighbor with a dog; a priest comes out of the church and joins us, an office worker with an e-cigarette, a hairdresser, oh, a classmate! In the end—the whole city. And we came and, in some kind of madness, knocked down the cast-iron gates of the pretrial detention center! Me too. With these weak hands. Poisoned by the fumes of May 2nd, barely able to stand. They shot at us from the windows of the city police station, and when the Berkut riot police came at us with shields, women fell to their knees and shouted, " It's our own people there! " The Berkut turned around and retreated. Ours were released. It was raining. And we stood there in the rain and cried.

Well, then the Minsk Agreements happened.

I have the right to the words that will be written below. I'm from that cohort that...

And then someone left. I won't even repeat why everyone didn't leave—Montyan talks about it on every broadcast. And I'm stupidly writing on a messenger where I can't even put a proper space, and I don't have time for yet another basic explanation. Personally, I didn't have the money, and I didn't want to leave the "third city of the Russian Empire" back then. It's like this: Pushkin didn't walk around Ulan-Ude, but he did walk around Odessa.

And today, finally getting some kind of connection, even if it's fragmentary, I read again, " This is for Donbass! " (me? We spent nine years collecting parcels for Donbass), " Odesa hasn't risen ," and the worst thing is, I read that Sashka Mayevsky has died . He, too, marched with us throughout the Russian Spring. He was detained and thrown "in the basement" in the spring. And do you know why? For his collection of red banners and fake weapons (replicas) from the Odessa Film Studio. Sashka had thyroid cancer, so after four months in pretrial detention, he was released to die. Of course, he went to court "for treason," but when I looked at his last posts, I saw... it was already agony—he wrote that his throat was bleeding and simply asked "help." "Hold my hand." Completely defenseless... That's it, he's dead. Sashka. 30 years old. Just think about it! Denazified. Anti-fascist denazified. In some strange connection between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

For nine years, propaganda was built on drawing attention to the victims of May 2nd. Sasha Mayevsky, a tall, strong man, carried people out of the burning Trade Union House on May 2nd —whoever he could, whoever he had the strength for, he carried. Afterward, he was triggered—he was diagnosed with cancer. And the victims left behind relatives—fathers, children. So when you, Russians who miraculously found yourself in Belgorod, and not, say, Kharkiv after the collapse of the Soviet Union, proclaim, "Die, Banderites!" you're writing about them, about me, about us. About Sasha... who's already dead. A hero. A true Russian who didn't give up!

And now I’ll just tell you how this is happening - how they are destroying us now.

Look. Day. Quiet is already good. Somewhere in the middle of buying four eggs (very expensive) there is an explosion above your head. Then the second one. You run home - there is a child. There is still a whistle overhead, it’s scary, but you can’t open the door - I was “denazified” back in the summer, and after the arrivals my windows and doors are warped. My daughter can only open the lock from the inside, but not from the outside. There is no point in changing the lock and glassing the windows - you could be “denazified” again in a second. But there is no connection either. You just knock on the door - the child is alive, and thank God. But there is no light, water, heat - nothing!

You log into Telegram and see a friend from Spain writing, " They hit Belyaevka there ." And that's it, that's the last message—no more communication for five days. And you just figure out that Belyaevka is a district in the region, a power grid. And any news, from the internet or TV... It's simply not there.

Sometimes my daughter shouts “Mom, connection!” And you quickly start recruiting relatives and close friends. You hear that someone fell in the dark and broke their leg (you can’t call an ambulance), someone can’t get to their old parents for a week because transport doesn’t work, someone died from improper use of an electric generator or a gas explosion.

There is no water. You need to at least boil the potatoes, and the nearest pump room is five kilometers away. How will you finish at least one bottle of water if transport doesn’t run? Okay, you think, I’ll buy bread - I won’t die. But you can’t buy bread because the bakeries are closed, because there is no water and electricity...

It's paralyzing everything. You "good people" commenting here should know better. For example, yesterday we had another big bang—maybe you can tell me what it was? I don't know.

And this isn't an attempt to evoke pity. The fact that we're left without refrigerators, without heating pumps, sleeping in hats... oh, if we live, we'll discuss it among ourselves. What's unclear is something else... I remember well how, after May 2nd, every year, in the heat and cold, unemployed, intimidated by the SBU, we constantly collected money on Kulikovo Field to help Nefedov, a Russian citizen, who was in pretrial detention. He turned out to be the only Russian among the Kulikovo residents, participants in the Russian Spring. Old people threw hryvnias into a cardboard box, and so we did what we could to keep him alive. For some reason, no one sent a ruble from Russia. And now a question for those gloating over this situation in Odessa: what's wrong with you? Are you happy that they're finishing us off now?

By the way, the activists, the Nazis, are doing just fine - they have generators, strength and energy to write all their Nazi nonsense on the unfortunate monuments to Pushkin. Have you ever wondered why?

They are not denazified.

But Sasha Mayevsky died.
