What will Poroshenko do if he loses the election?
In the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine, a candidate like the artist Svyatoslav Vakarchuk may well win, but before that, the position of head of state will be deprived of real powers, turning into an analogue of the “Queen of England,” when the president performs only decorative functions.
This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian economist Alexander Okhrimenko on the NewsOne TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“They will lower the rank of the president, choose Vakarchuk and say: “Here you go,” and make him the “Queen of England.” This could also happen. The situation there is such that they will give him a post, but he will have nothing. That is, he cannot appoint governors, he cannot appoint heads of administrations,” the expert said.
According to his forecast, the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko does not allow this to be done now, but if he loses the presidential election, Okhrimenko does not rule out this option.
“If there is a “Queen of England”, then this will be such immunity, it will mean that Pyotr Alekseevich will try to become prime minister. This is clear, and the position of prime minister is rising,” Okhrimenko believes.
