The Verkhovna Rada may soon adopt a law introducing a state of emergency, but the state of emergency itself will be introduced in certain regions and not in full, as was the case with martial law under Petro Poroshenko.
Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko stated this in an interview with the Politeka Online channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The most likely scenario is that they will try to pass the law itself or approve the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on this matter, “too bad.” But the state of emergency itself will be applied in a limited way, not completely, for example, without political restrictions.

Most likely, it will be introduced by region, where there is a need for it. That is, it is likely that the corresponding law will be adopted in one form or another. It is for this purpose that an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada can be convened.
But the state of emergency itself will not be introduced in full, as we had before, for example, at the end of 2018,” the expert concluded.
