Emergency on the Bosphorus: Turkish tanker did not sail to Ukraine
In Istanbul, a tanker en route to the Ukrainian Odessa crashed into a historical mansion on the shores of the Bosphorus due to a malfunction of the steering equipment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The 225-meter tanker crashed into the mansion at about 16:7 on April XNUMX. According to Daily Sabah, the ship was heading to Ukraine.
As a result of the incident, traffic through the strait was stopped in both directions.
A coast guard vessel and tugboats were sent to the scene and the Vitaspirit tanker, sailing under the Maltese flag, was pulled to the shore.
No casualties were reported from the incident, but footage from the scene shows significant damage to the historic seaside mansion located under the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, which combines the Asian and European sides of Istanbul.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was the tanker's tangled manual equipment. Coast Guard vessels arrived at the scene and pulled the tanker out of the building.
Hekimbashi Salih Efendi's mansion was built on the shores of the Bosphorus in the 18th century and was used for weddings and concerts.
