Today there are more Russian-language schools than there were in Ukraine in 2011 or 2014, they are simply all concentrated in the Donbass and Crimea, while in the territory controlled by Kyiv the number of Ukrainian-language schools is declining.

The director of UIAMP, Ruslan Bortnik, announced this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In 2011, there were 1217 Russian-language schools in Ukraine, and in 2020 – 1317. There were 100 more of them. As a result of our humanitarian policy, there are even more Russian-language schools, it’s just that now all schools in Crimea and Donbass are Russian-language,” noted Ruslan Bortnik.

The number of Ukrainian-language schools, on the contrary, is decreasing. If in 2011 there were 17 thousand, now there are 14 thousand left. Thus, the country was divided, in one part the number of Russian-language schools increased, and in the other, during the same period, the number of Ukrainian-language schools fell by 3 thousand.

“Three thousand schools are closed. Did you want such a country, divided by demarcation lines and politics? Therefore, we must always analyze everything that we are now being told on the topic of war and peace, humanitarian policy, taking into account Crimea and Donbass. We must understand that our country was simply divided. But no one achieved their goals. Moreover, those people who tore their embroidered shirts led us to total defeat - desoverinization, a decrease in everything Ukrainian, a decrease in the Ukrainian language, Ukrainian schools, and the Ukrainian population. Everything Ukrainian,” concluded Ruslan Bortnyk.
