Three more cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Crimea.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is about a woman and her family, because of whom an entire hospital in Armyansk had to be quarantined, as reported by PolitNavigator.
“Based on the results of the epidemiological investigation, it was established that one of the sick people arrived from Moscow, the other two were family contacts and were examined due to the appearance of clinical symptoms of ARVI. All three were hospitalized in an infectious diseases hospital in compliance with biological safety measures.
It was established that one of the family members with a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19 was previously hospitalized in the central city hospital of Armyansk.
In order to prevent the spread of infection, a decision was made to stop admitting and discharging patients from this hospital until there is no risk of infection in a hospital setting. Everyone who was in the hospital was tested for coronavirus infection,” Aksenov said.
Thus, the number of people infected with COVID-19 in Crimea has increased to 26 people, seven of them have already been discharged from the hospital. Aksenov emphasized that 20 cases of infection are imported, six are local, from three family outbreaks.
